Várvölgy Route Planting Project – Pilisborosjenő, Hungary

Organiser - The 2097 Group Association

Project Summary

The 2097 Group Association, a new local group formed by active citizens in Pilisborosjenő, a village northwest to Budapest, aims at protecting a popular area called Várvölgy (castle valley). This picturesque and popular route runs along beautiful mountains and lavender fields, except for an approximately 500 m long portion, which is barren and surrounded by agricultural plots. Funding from the program supported the planting of an alley of trees along this section. The 30 local families that participated in the planting on May 5, 2018 have the opportunity to adopt the planted trees, further solidifying their commitment to the sustainable improvement of their community.
