12.08.2008 | Hungary: Hungarian Partnership helps distribute nearly 4,000,000Euro for sustainable development
The first round of the Hungarian NGO Fund was completed in the beginning of August. The Fund contributes to strengthen civil society in Hungary, providing support i the areas of environment, social cohesion and health and children.
The Fund is operated by the Hungarian Environmental Partnership Foundation in partnership with the following grantmaking foundations: the Foundation for Development of Democratic Rights; the Autonomia Foundation and the Carpathian Foundation – Hungary.
Out of the 953 proposals received, 96 will be supported in the total amountr of 3,893,728 Euro with 1,985,000 Euro going to support 60 projects in the area of the environmental protection and sustainable development.
