Romanian Environmental Partnership Foundation - Fundatia pentru Parteneriat

Founded: 1999
Director: Laszlo Potozky

Organization Description:
The Romanian Environmental Partnership Foundation (Fundatia pentru Parteneriat) was established as an independent foundation in 1998. One year later, the foundation joined the Environmental Partnership consortium.

Like the other Partnership foundations, the Romanian Partnership foundation supports and promotes the improvement of the environment and the development of the communities in Romania by contributing to the formation of a sustainable society that enhances democratic values. At the same time the foundation is the only indigenous private environmental grantmaking organization in Romania and as such is recognized as a very reliable partner by many different stakeholders. The programs of the foundation are designed and implemented to fit within the framework of sustainable development. The programs target and include almost all the stakeholders of society: communities, local authorities, NGOs, business sector, media and other stakeholders.

The Romanian Partnership is implementing a new certification program in cooperation with The Prince’s Charities Foundation; Transylvania Authentica. The program aims to promote the inherent economic value of Transylvania‘s remarkable heritage through an eligibility standard system that will encourage greater use of Transylvania‘s environmental and cultural heritage as business assets.
