Partnership principles
Principle of accountability for the foundation's mission
The Foundation builds relationships and cooperates with its partners solely for the purpose of fulfilling its mission.
Principle of materiality and 'social investment'
A partnership relationship must focus on addressing environmental issues in such a way as to enable measuring and benchmarking of the results of such cooperation (we put stress on the concept of joint social investment, especially into the development of human resources and the ability of communities and its local partners to address environmental problems in the long run).
Principle of autonomy
Partners must remain independent of one another so as to ensure that each partner engages in the joint programme only in areas it can do the best (Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation must remain autonomous when implementing its programme - making decisions on grants, study tours and other programme components).
Principle of ethical origin of sources
Funds and other resources must be obtained in line with democratic legal and ethical norms and in line with the Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation's Code of Ethics.
Principle of 'no advertisement'
Partners understand that promoting a commercial product of any of the partners is not the aim of the joint programme.
Principle of gradual improvement (innovation principle)
Partners undertake to actively and gradually improve their share in the programme in favour of all participating parties (i.e. partnership as a relationship based on the sharing of risks as well as benefits of the programme).
Principle of openness
Partners must be open to one another especially in case problems, failures, misunderstandings and unexpected events occur, which is inherent in most projects.
Principle of long-term relationships
Partners shall create a long-term relationship and make sure they continuously invest into it (as partnership is not a one-off contribution, a donation or a mere news headline).
Principle of decent presentation of results in media
Partners publish their joint programme results only in the form and content that is acceptable to all parties involved.
Principle of possible failure
Not all partnerships will work and bring expected results to all parties involved, which must be taken into account. Sound partnerships will enable the parties involved to terminate the contract upon their own free will, without casting blame on either party.
